Cleaning & Collection

A graphic demonstration of how Vita 1.0 captures particulate matter to clean outdoor air.
Step 1

Ionized airflow pushes dirty air particles to collection plates (patent-pending).

Step 2

Particulates are vacuumed off by AirVitalize as part of our Worry-free Maintenance Guarantee.

Step 3

Collected particulates are then disposed of and used for further research.

How it works

Common Questions

1. What kind of pollution do you collect?

The Vita 1.0 captures outdoor particulate matter air pollution, sized 10 micrometers or less.

2. How does it work?

Our patent-pending technology uses a filterless ionization process optimized for outdoor use.

3. How do you know it’s working?

AirVitalize uses certified air quality monitoring systems to check the efficacy of particulate capture and the air purifier range. All partners receive reports as well to see the impact the Vita 1.0 has made in their community

4. What range of air can you reach?

Our aim is to create healthier air within a range of 1 football fields during optimal conditions.

5. What counts as optimal conditions?

We focus on areas that experience temperature inversions. This includes most of the cities in the United States with high levels of air pollution, including Los Angeles and Fairbanks, Alaska. Temperature inversions happen on the macro-city-wide level, and on a micro level (such as in athletic stadiums or other “bowl-like” environments).

6. How much electricity consumption does it use?

The Vita 1.0 uses about the same electricity as a lightbulb - approximately 60 watts. We also have solar options available to bring the technology entirely off-grid!

7. What type of maintenance am I responsible for?

AirVitalize conducts all maintenance, so we all need access to the deployment site to keep our worry-free maintenance guarantee!

8. What do you do with the pollution captured?

We collect pollution during maintenance. It is then safely stored by AirVitalize, and in the future will be sustainably repurposed for other applications.

9. What is your installation process like? Is it invasive?

The Vita 1.0 is designed to be an easily installable unit. We simply require access to the deployment location to bring the device in. There are no invasive elements to our installation process, and we even have the option to keep the device mobile if that is your preference

10. How much noise does it make?

Less than 60 decibels, which is comparable to the noise of an electric toothbrush.

11. Does my team need to turn it on/off?

For optimal positive impact, the Vita 1.0 is meant to be run nonstop. That being said, your team will be able to turn off the device if needed. All of these procedures will be accessible in our user manual and will be covered during installation day.
